Place
With your index finger extended, move your outstretched arm from pointing at the dog’s nose to pointing at his designated place.
GOAL: The dog goes to a designated place, lies down and stays until released.
Teaching a dog to go to his place, lie down and stay there is an excellent way to counteract a variety of undesirable behaviors such as rude greetings at the front door and begging during meals.
